Production Analyst, Operations

About the position

Brief Description 

The Production Analyst is an individual contributor role seated in our Washington, DC Micro Fulfillment Center (MFC), responsible for supporting optimal live site operations, processes and unit/order throughput through one or more MFCs. They apply their expertise in planning and executing efficient production flow of an MFC’s goods, data, and information, and communicate out summaries and variances to key stakeholders.


Responsibilities

  • Live site monitoring, utilizing tools and dashboards to monitor trip adherence, production rates, SLA adherence, and general site performance
  • Assisting Site Leadership with daily labor planning; course correcting plans with adjustments
  • Various communications to key stakeholders: shift summaries; SLA status updates; escalations; daily plans to site directors, etc
  • Work with Site Leadership and Sr Inventory Analyst to facilitate stock extraction tasks
  • Help define, and share, site operation hours with key stakeholders
  • Help facilitate and plan site stress tests, providing results back to client and leadership
  • Optimizes labor costs, production volume, and efficiency by providing Site Leadership with scheduling and staffing models based on anticipated/actual order volumes
  • Works closely with Partner Support Specialists in OCC to triage equipment failures, hardware problems, or data storage difficulties that may lead to product defects
  • Partners with other teams, stakeholders and managers to support challenges causing a variance in expected output
  • Responsible for monitoring on-going production processes, to document unexpected slowdowns and proactively identify new bottlenecks.
  • Identifies and communicates trends in Fabric’s footprint of micro fulfillment center data and performance, and performs data analysis to support continuous improvement efforts
  • Leverages critical thinking to provide recommendations to site leadership
  • <15% travel, as needed
Requirements
  • Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Operations Management preferred, or equivalent experience gained while in prior roles
  • Strong reasoning skills, critical thinking and problem solving skills required
  • Prior experience in client-specific KPIs / SLAs
  • Experience and proficiency with dashboards and other data visualization tools. Experience creating these tools a plus
  • Experience guiding creative solutions to complex problems
  • Comfortable working in an ambiguous, fast-paced and self-motivated environment; enjoys autonomy
  • Savvy computer skills with ability to learn new software
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize, as role will be working with multiple partners 
  • Ability to work in cold temperature environments (in our grocery MFCs)
  • Hours - 2nd and 3rd shift coverage currently required
