Job Overview

The Senior Data Engineer will be an integral part of building out Fabric's data infrastructure as we work to scale our innovative robotic Micro Fulfillment Center model.


  • As a Senior Data Engineer, you will design, develop, implement and maintain solutions for the company’s data platform from the ground up
  • Work closely with the team of engineers to capture and integrate data into cloud-based data warehouse

Must have:

  • 8+ years of professional software development experience and/or 5+ years developing data applications in Python as the primary coding language
  • Deep knowledge of building, scaling and managing a large scale real-time data pipeline within the cloud (GCP preferred) from the ground up
  • Well versed in large scale messaging tools like Kafka (must) and Elastic (ELK) stack (preferred)
  • Experience working with cloud-based modern data warehouse (e.g. Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) 
  • Experience working with relation (Postgres, MySQL) and non-relational (MongoDB, HBase, DynamoDB)
  • Unix/Linux scripting/shell experience


Nice to have:

  • Hands-on experience developing microservice based cloud-native application/service
  • Experience working with developing, deploying and running containerised application/service on Kubernetes
  • REST API development experience
  • Experience with E-commerce, order management, or inventory management systems
  • Experience building cloud-based SaaS applications or data product
